Placement and Logisitcs
So this is the guy right here. This is Gorbu. Some of you may recognize him from last year. He has taken on a very vital, yet challenging role for us this year, he is our Placement Coordinator. This means that he will be laying out our camp, trying to meet the needs and special accommodations of everyone camped in our allotted space. Please be flexible and kind. We must all co-habitate in close quarters and trying conditions. Your patience, compassion, and willingness to adjust accordingly will serve you well. Having said that, if you have any special needs, out of the ordinary requests, certain considerations, or questions about Placement within Oc9, you can reach out to Gorbu directly.
Also, some of you were vague or unsure what your camp structure would be, what your foot print would look like or how much space you would need. This is CRITICAL information for Gorbu as he is tasked with fitting everyone in "comfortably", trying to place RV's with generators in a way that allows for tenters to be free of exhaust fumes, creating wind blocks etc. Please communicate clearly with Gorbu about your footprint, generators, and special requests by emailing him here:

Starting with Fertility 2.0 in 2012, this will make my 6th Burn. The first three were camping with a mostly Seattle based group affectionately known as Bubble Bubble, although the camp names were Camp Pucker Up, MushLove, and Burning Bubbles. I almost didn't come the first year because the idea of Burning Man was fairly intimidating to me, but after a day, I got in touch with the whitewater raft guide I once was and suddenly I was Home. My wife was there that first year along with a couple of our best friends. The second year she didn't come but my 18 year old son did. The third year, we bought our T@B trailer and she had a dark, cool, and theoretically quieter space to hang out in during the day which made Burning Man possible for her. The fourth year, she joined ESD and the Rangers and we both joined OC9. After a year of being arm candy, I decided to join EDS last year and now we are returning once more. In the Default World, I manage a CO2 laser manufacturer doing really cool things that I mostly can't talk about. And bide my time to go Home!
Bubble Bubble!
We are so lucky to have him and his amazing wife, Rebecca(Sparklebitch) camping with us again!!!
Logistics is being headed up again by Buna Bear, more about him later after I wrangle him for some personal info and find out myself "exactly" what he does.................hmm.

Hey Gorbu,
ReplyDeleteI am bringing/renting a 22 foot long rv. I have been reading up on how to operate, and BM rv - I.e., no leaks, etc. I am told I will need to run the RV/Generator for an hour a day to keep it functioning.
FYI,
Thanks in advance,
