It gets Really Dusty Out There
What do you recommend people bring to survive the dust? Over the years, I have had the Playa Lung face masks, expensive goggles, and all manner of dust reducing gadgetry. I find that I like a simple scarf and some basic goggles the best. I think the biggest tool to use against the dust is water, as in drink plenty of water so that you're not parched from the inside out. Carry chapstick with you everywhere and don't be shy about sunscreen. Baby wipes can be brilliant for "de-dusting" the body several times a day too, especially if they're cool and loaded with Aloe Vera. So good.
